THE ADVENTURE OF

RELIGIOUS LIFE IN

THE ADVENTURE OF

DISCERNMENT

VOWS

FORMATION

  1. Postulancy

  2. Novitiate and first vows

  3. Years of temporary vows

  4. Final vows

It is about following Christ, poor, chaste and obedient to the Father.

Poverty

to possess nothing, to keep nothing for oneself, like Christ (therefore to put everything in common) and to receive everything from the Father.

Chastity or rather celibacy in chastity

not a contempt for marriage which is a Christian vocation but the choice of fraternity, of a love which wants to be open to all, without limit.

Obedience farewell

like Christ (“not my will but yours”).

To venture on this particular path requires the support of spiritual accompaniment.
  1. trust in the Spirit of Jesus;

  2. advance in self-knowledge ;

  3. pay attention to his deepest desire ;

  4. imagine yourself in a particular state of life and see if you find peace there;

  5. to seek true consolation, that which comes from the Holy Spirit and which coincides with the resolution to love God with all one's heart and also to carry his cross;

  6. not wanting certainty about one's vocation at all costs – abandoning oneself ;

  7. don't decide too quickly.

“By calling you, God says to you: 'You are important to me, I love you, I am counting on you'.
Jesus says this to each of us! This is where the joy comes from!
The joy of the moment when Jesus looked at me. Understanding and feeling this is the secret of our joy.
To feel loved by God, to feel that for Him we are not numbers but people;
and feel that it is He who calls us”
Pope Francis

Mission

THE SPC MISSION

ANSWERING THE CALL OF THE WORLD

The Mission does not depend on the needs of the community, but on the urgency “be IN the world”.

Concretely, the Sisters come from different professional backgrounds

and are often sent on missions depending on their skills.

They can be teachers, catechists, pastoral workers, accountants, nursing home nurses, physiotherapists, doctors, computer scientists, engineers, musicians...

ANSWERING THE CALL OF THE CHURCH

Brothers and Sisters are freely  tied to the Church

Who receives their vows in Institutes of Consecrated Life.

The Holy Father as  leader of the Roman Catholic Church  shows everyone,

but in particular religious men and women

the path to follow.

Does this mission speak to you as a lay person?
